I didn't mean to rip you PJs when I pinched your butt mom. I just wanted to wake you to give me a treat. Why the nail trim?
Aurora has her period so thought about sleeping under the bed but mom kept hearing her clawing and thrashing about so she tried peeking under but it's dark under there. Then she tried feeling around where Aurora normally sleeps but felt nothing. Then she got a flashlight in the area she normally sleeps. She wasn't there but she was under there somewhere and the light was the last straw. Aurora left in huff. So I'm snuggling with her in the closet nest today.
Mom had been concerned maybe her claw got stuck or something but apparently not. Maybe she was playing around. I used to like to grab under the bed and pull myself along back and forth, back when I was young and silly.

Buggy wood. YAY!
Aurora: Pua was not doing her job of waking the servant during the night. I need her to wake the servant for my soup change. So I tried to go on a fridge raid. I made it on top but couldn't get anything open. Then the human came wanting to help me down because she thought I was Pua.
No thanks lady. I got this. I climbed down behind it, between it and the wall, ninja style(aside from the stuff I knocked down, that wasn't very ninja). Then I scurried off under the bed and to the closet to wait for my fresh soup.
I thought about going out this morning as well but had a feeling it wasn't all that sunny so kept turning back at the door.
Aurora: Pua walked right past her evening supplements so I ate them. She likes to steal my cocktails so why not? The servant said they weren't for me. They tasted like they should be for me, yum.
What a gloomy day. I was moping on the shelf crying today. Mom gave me my supplements and a fresh blanket and snuggled me. Didn't help much though. Sometimes she repeated my whistle patterns back at me and that helped some. At least I knew she was paying attention. I finally started to doze on her hand and she said I just needed to get to bed so tried to lure me into the closet nest but I went and joined Aurora in the washer instead.
She didn't want to share and left and paced around. She came back for awhile but got up again. So I followed her to the closet and she left and went back in the washer. I'm in the closet nest but still mopey and drooped over the end of the perching-bridge bar thing.

Aurora: I'm a bit restless today myself. I tried heading out once but turned back before reaching the outside door. It really is gloomy out there but I'm no cry baby. So I just did some laps in the room and am giving settling in the washer another shot.

Aurora: I went for a run in the rain. Quite invigorating. I highly recommend it. The photo doesn't look like it but it was pouring down.

Aurora: I had so much fun outside yesterday it was hard to settle in. I kept getting up and doing laps around the room on and off. Then once the human went to bed I got up and began doing laps again. I ran along the shelves and knocked books down. I got up on the fridge and found ants but the container started to fall and I tried to grab it and we both fell off.
Then I found a way out, well almost. I could smell the outside through the drier vent. So I unplugged it but I didn't fit. I have always left it at that before. Only now and then poking holes in the tube. But I really wanted to go out at 1AM for another run. So I ripped the metal bit the tube goes in out of the wall and began tearing the hole in the wall bigger. There was a vent hood in the way outside but I was starting to get that busted loose too when the human came and stopped me! I don't know why she was so upset. She's the one who woke up just to ruin my fun.

Aurora: I had some fun last night. Think the servant was tired as she slept through it. I tossed some books down and tossed some treat cups down off the fridge and I found a container of ants hiding in plain sight. At one point I fell off the bookshelf onto the washer. The human did notice that but noted I was still alive and went back to sleep.
Pua didn't wake the servant at all. She had been given a rare treat of pure hamburger and was quite happy with that but she has regular food again tonight so I'm sure there will be at least some poking.
When I'm drinking and water goes down the wrong pipe, the choking sound is pretty horrible, kinda like someone stepped on a frog in a cave and it popped.
Beaker loves Hyzzie
He helps keep her clean and licks all her old girl bumps. Sometimes he gets more obsessed and wont leave her side. This was one of those times. He slept with her instead of me.

Then she wedged some sort of metal suitcase between the drier and the
wall, real tight, after putting some smelly stuff in the hole to try and
dissuade me. Then she slept really light and chased me off any time I
messed with it but I couldn't move those suitcases anyway.
I had to settle for playing with Pua in the princess hammock and throwing more stuff around.
So now she's blocked the hole permanently (we'll see about that). And put a drier vent filter on the tube instead. Not the crappy kind with water but a good one with a real filter. (PS this only works with electric driers. You'll kill yourself if you vent a gas one inside even with a filter.)

Hyzzie enjoyed her walk in the park today 15 years 9 months.
Awhile ago saw this little girl we run into on walks. She asked how old Hyzzie was and I told her. She reacted with awe and was thoroughly impressed. Said she'd never met a dog so old and that she didn't show her age at all. I'm sure Hyzzie was flattered by the last statement, lol.
