Last night we were up early and played in the closet then in the hammock and clawed at logs and ran all over. Then I spent some time with mom.
She is so lumpy I squirm my tail and feet the whole time trying to lay on her. She says a tree branch would be harder than her hip if I was wild but I don't know about that. We found a compromise though and I snuggled in the crook of her leg with my head and her knee out of the covers for a nap.
Then it was time to harass, um I mean, ask her repeatedly for treats the rest of the night.
Aurora got up early and came to play with me in the closet tonight too.
Found a package of cherry zingy tea last night. Ripped the bags and licked some up. I shared with the dogs too and got some in their water so they had tea too.
So Aurora's tail wounds looked so lovely but her tail was looking like being wrapped all the time was a bit of an issue so I tried her with a couple band aids. OMG bad idea. I was up early for work and found her a bloody mess. Pua was licking the wounds trying to help but I don't think she started the problem. They use the crack at the one shelf to stick their tail in to lower themselves down. That's how she scrapes the top side back open.
Managed to clean and bandage a panicked Aurora as well as I could. Looked like it really hurt too. She would curl it up in pain but then use it to climb down anyway. Didn't think she could hurt it that much even if the band aids did come off since it looked so good but didn't think about the crack. Shoved a towel in the crack for now and they will have to hold onto the branch instead. Will bandage better tomorrow and apply cream.
Aurora will be living in a fully padded room soon or maybe I will. ~Pua's Mommy
Precarious sleeping position
Morning Pua
So mom thought the cherry tea was a fluke and maybe she left it out, well, I enjoyed some raspberry and wild berry tea last night. I helped myself by puling them from the tea basket-drawer. I dropped the whole package of raspberry tea in the dog's water once done. It's good to share and tea may help give them some culture.
Aurora's bandage was off again this morning and ozzy blood all over. Mom cleaned it with nolvosan wipes and put antibiotic cream on, with pain reliever. Think she needs it too it was hot and swollen from abuse. I don't know what her problem is but I don't think I'd keep using a tail that hurt that much, much less keep sticking it where it's getting hurt. I'd just cry for mom to fix it.
I tried to help mom help Aurora by licking the wounds. I was licking them last night too when mom found out the issue. Mom said I looked like a tamndua vampire with the drooly blood at the corners of my mouth. I'm not saying it was pleasant but someone has to take care of Aurora since she hasn't got sense to do it herself.
Mom brought Aurora her soup but after one sniff she remembered how mom was grabby last night so ran off. She came back once mom was gone though and was happy with the offerings even though topped with grapefruit-yogurt cocktail that is mostly grapefruit juice. PS her tail is still wrapped tonight.
Aurora's tail is till wrapped and it's no longer hot and swollen though it still was last night.
Had my bandaged changed and some grapefruit cocktail time to pace and complain about being abused. ~ Aurora
After Aurora joined me in the closet nest, Aurora asked mom for more cocktail, then I woke up and shared though Aurora kept shoving me, how rude.
After that mom went out for a long walk with Beaker so Aurora returned to the washer. Mom got a surprise cuz she thought she'd take the blanket out of the washer but then saw it move.
According to this I should live forever. Mom just needs to feed me more ants. http://www.dragonherbs.com/products.asp?dept=43
PS we don't buy from them, just stumbled onto it, but mom is putting in a large order cuz we already ran out of our last order of ants. She's making a huge order and hoping to sell some to other exotic critters or to people maybe who actually want to drink it as a tea I mean that's their original intent. Otherwise it'll last a long time but by ordering large it works out to half price.
Aurora: I am sleeping in the closet nest with Pua and saw she had gotten her supplement treat so I came out to ask for my cocktail. The servant was reluctant as she thought Pua would come steal. So I did it, I rang the bell with my nose and gave my servant a stern look. She brought my cocktail but she made it heavy on the grapefruit juice so there wouldn't be much buttermilk should Pua decide to steal but she didn't. Guess she was satisfied with her own this time.
Edit: actually she just came to get my left overs.
All tucked in
Treats, here. now
First thing in the morning. Bring treats. You can clean later.
Oh hey, bring treats
Aurora: *peaks out of washer* It's cocktail time.
Aurora: just went outside briefly but it's still cold. No sunbathing yet. Had to come back in. Insisted I get some more cocktail. It's so cold it causes me to squirm and dance around. It's so good icy cold. I just looked at my servant and spit some, just because.
Aurora heads outside
By the scrap pile
PS these super giant Band-Aids turned out to be just the thing!
It's too cold out here
Open the door
Aurora: I checked out the living room and the back bedroom then went out a again. I stayed a bit longer this time but it is chilly.
Exploring the house
Heading under the bed
Heading for the closet
Aurora is tall
Pua's Mommy: OMG Aurora just kissed by foot as she went by!
No big deal if she had just sniffed it but there were three little tongue flicks(kisses).
If you've ever had a critter who is feral due to fear from past mishandling then you'll know how special any sign of affection can be.
Hey Aurora stole half my supplements! Dr mom will have to look into how they effect her addison's compared to my diabetes. Mom has just added some licorice to try and we know that's good for her.
Nothing good here
Heading home
She came in the bottom cage door to climb up the tree in there.
Aurora got her bandage off last night but there was no damage. Guess mom finally padded all the things. Mom came and rebandaged her tail anyway. So much hissing and growling over a little tail fondling. I tried to help mom by licking the wounds but mom was like no that's the antibiotic cream. Oh I thought it was just icky goo.
Aurora: got up made room by expelling some air then came and asked my human for my cocktail.
Mom poked me 3 times and still got no blood. She decided it just wasn't meant to be today but I got some cheese and some snuggle time out of it. This disturbed Aurora so she paced till mom left then she demanded her cocktail. So of course I'm sharing.
Dang, apparently my ants are having a big party before they head our way.
"On 19th,Feb,2015 is the Chinese New Year Day. (Chinese Spring Festival), this is the biggest Holiday in China and it will be over on 27th, Feb.
Today is 16th, Feb, all the shipping agents closed their offices for holiday. So, I have to say that the product will be sent out to you on 27th, Feb and you are supposed to receive it before 2rd,March."
Silly Jake cat was flailing around in the dining chair when mom realized he wasn't playing and had his head stuck in the rails of the chair. Just as mom was about to free him he managed to free himself. Like kids and stair rails, guess they just gotta stick their heads where they shouldn't go.

Was sharing the washer but am up now having a vinegar bath.
Aurora is now officially bandaged free. She didn't cooperate well with photo time. It's weird as it's red spots but it's also sealed dry skin that is thick enough to protect. Not scabs actually skin but red but not wet or open or infected. Left her unbandaged last night and nothing bad happened so she is free now.
I am 14.2 pounds and having a reward of chia seeds so call it 14.3 once done
Sleepy Pua in the washer
Aurora got up early and enjoyed her cocktail then she asked for seconds. Think it's really working as her appetite has been stellar lately.
So we ran out of silkworm Pupae because of Chinese New Year shipping delays as well as ants. Well soon as I got on a new batch of food that has no silkworm pupae my gulcose levels jumped up. Mom tried adding more fiber and ants but it got worse instead of better. Turns out silkworms have magical enzymes that lower blood glucose. Who knew? Oh these scientists did: http://medicine-hygiene.idnwhois.org/article-13881.html
So once we can get them again I will be getting a lot more silkworm in my diet.
Oh little Ps the ants added to my food are the kind we hate, we are out of the good kind, otherwise sounds weird we ran out bt still added some.
Oh look mom! Please?
Mom: no those cost a fortune beside I don't know what else in in there
Geez no good ants, no cheesey bugs, no fun. Well actually Aurora and I have had fun playing wildly the last few nights, but seriously cheese flavored bugs!
